Gorse is best known for its associations with the Sun giving a splash of colour in early March when the environment is bleak; it was used in love spells and was one of the ingredients used to create the flower Goddess Blodeuwedd. Gorse was lit each spring so that its smoke could purify the fields.

This wand has been “treated” with beeswax polish following debarking and sanding; it also has the following herbs inserted into the handle.

  • Mugwort – For strength, protection and cleansing
  • Vervain – for Protection and purification
  • Yarrow – for clearing negativity and easing fears
